How to: Tournaments

🚀 Why Tournaments?

It's simple. We want to make crypto fun again. With Tournaments, Ember users can put their crypto skills to the test, give lady luck a run for her money, and even turn a profit.

🏆 How to play:

Entering in a Tournament is easy! Simply tap on a tournament on the Play tab.

Once on the Tournament page, you can view the current prize pool, the time left in the current phase, the type of tournament and your current portfolio value.

From the Tournament page, you may tap on Enter Tournament to begin choosing your coin lineup! Choose wisely!

⌛ What are the Tournament Phases?

There are 2 phases for each tournament.

Pre-game: This is the time where you can enter & build your portfolio. Typically it’ll run for a few days. During this time period, we’re not counting your portfolio performance against other users, so your portfolio balance will remain at $100,000. Once your portfolio has been built, you’re all set!

Gametime: This is when the tournament officially starts, and your coin performances are tracked. Typically it’ll run for a few days as well. During this time, you’ll see your portfolio size & performance fluctuate, and you’ll see your position on the leaderboard. The top performing portfolios by the end of the Gametime phase will receive BTC in their Ember wallet!The countdown timer below your tournament portfolio shows when each phase will begin.

💰How much can I win?

The prize pool for each tournament will vary depending on a few factors; mainly the number of participants, and the entry fee (if any). The breakdown of prizes will also vary depending on the number of participants (ie, the more participants there are, the more users to be paid out).

Here's an example prize distribution so you can see what it may look like:

1st Place: 30% of Prize Pool
2nd Place: 15% of Prize Pool
3rd Place: 10% of Prize Pool
4th Place: 7% of Prize Pool
5-50th: 38% of Prize Pool (Split evenly)
